Dear Fellow Rotarians
We all are aware of the Earthquake of 6.4 Richter magnitude that hit Jajarkot and Rukum in the western Nepal on November 3, 2023, Friday, last night. More than 157 people have lost their lives up to now after the earthquake struck remote western Nepal yesterday.
The Rotary International District 3292 family is concerned and is preparing for relief works through a coordinated efforts of all of our clubs, international partners and district resources soon. Few local clubs have been mobilized already for the assessment with the local agencies.
We appreciate your concern for initiating the support movement for the cause from many fronts. We sincerely request all of our clubs and Rotarians to channel the support received through a single window of our district for an impactful support rather than individual small supports. The relief support works will be coordinated with concerned government agencies and relief handling cluster agencies.
