Project Description
The three-day Information and Communication Technology (ICT) training program was successfully conducted under the joint initiative of the Rotary Club of Dillibazar-Kathmandu and the Rotary Club of Kathmandu, with support from the Basic Education and Literacy Department of Rotary International District 3292. The training took place at Mangalodaya Secondary School, Thankot, on Falgun 6, 7, and 8.
A total of 22 teachers, representing various community schools in the Chandragiri area, actively participated in the program. The inaugural session was graced by Past President Rtn. Prof. Dr. Parthiveshwor Prasad Timilsina as Chief Guest, while the closing ceremony welcomed Mr. Ghanshyam Giri, Mayor of Chandragiri Municipality, as Chief Guest. Both sessions were chaired by Club President Rtn. Prem Kumar Oli.
Program Coordinator and Past President Rtn. Leelanath Sharma delivered the welcome address. Several distinguished Rotarians and school representatives were also present. The training sessions were facilitated by Rtn. Hari Acharya, focusing on practical skills such as question paper preparation, exam evaluation, and result processing.
Participating teachers expressed appreciation for the hands-on learning experience and requested similar initiatives in the future. During the closing ceremony, the Mayor highlighted plans to introduce digital classrooms in all community schools within Chandragiri Municipality. Certificates were distributed to all participants at the conclusion of the program.
