Project Description
Thapathali, 5th April - The Rotary Club of Kathmandu Height, in collaboration with Rotary Club of Kathmandu and Rotary Club of Kathmandu Circle, successfully carried out a meaningful educational support program in Humla under Project Jhola on 5 April 2026. The initiative focused on supporting students of Shree Changla Himal Basic School, located in Dojang, Gyakru, Simkot Rural Municipality.
During the program, essential educational materials were handed over to the representatives of the school, directly benefiting 62 primary-level students. The support included 62 school bags, 62 pairs of shoes, 62 packets of pencils, and 288 notebooks, ensuring that each child received basic learning necessities to support their education.
This initiative was designed with a strong understanding of the difficulties faced by students in remote and geographically challenging regions like Humla. Limited access to educational resources often creates barriers to learning, and such support helps to reduce these challenges in a practical way.
Beyond providing materials, the program also aims to encourage regular school attendance and create a more positive learning environment for children.
