Free Cataract Surgery Camp (4th April-26 to 6th April,2026

Reduction of avoidable blindness in rural and urban areas of Nawalpur (Vision for All) is a signature project of our Club. Under this Program we are able to examine more than 35000 and gain sight for more than 1750+ people after our establishment. We had organized one such camp every year but due to due to number of cases finding in screening camp and mass flow in our Free Surgical camp we are doing two from year back. This year thid id the second surgical camp is over. 11 Cataract Screening camp has been done very remote and urban area of Kawasoti, Gaidakot Madhyabindu Municipality and Hupsekot Rural Municipality. We examine almost 1700 people over there. Our club has one permanent cataract screening center (Madhyabindu Eye Care Center, Kawasoti-02, Thanachock) And we had 4 days screening camp at Madhyabindu Provincial Hospital, Kawasoti too. In total, we have made screening of 2000+ people's eye, found more than 450 cases and operated 212 people. In these figures of 212, 7 people are completely blind and 10 are near to blind, get operated both eyes. This program is organized in collaboration of Nepal Eye Program, Tilganga Institute of Ophthalmology. Bishnu Prasad Bhusal, Mayor of Kawasoti Municipality; Laxmi Pandya Chairman of Hupsekot RMC; Rishi Adhikari , a retired judge from Appeal Court; Ful Kumari Thainet, Deputy Mayor of Kawasoti Municipality were the distinguish guest in our formal program of Post Operation Screening.
