Trisuli Nuwakot Bhotekoshi Project

Following the devastating Bhotekoshi flood in Rasuwa on Bhadra 10, 2083, Rotary Club of Pokhara Newroad extended humanitarian support to flood-affected families in Trisuli, Bidur–9, Nuwakot.
Through an appeal to Rotarians and their families, the club raised NPR 254,034.33 to provide immediate, need-based assistance.
Key Facts & Figures
100 affected households received essential kitchen utensils worth NPR 225,000/-.
100 women received two pairs of essential undergarments worth NPR 47,000/-.
Noodles and chocolates were distributed to families temporarily staying in shelters.
NPR 20,000/- was spent on transportation, while travelling Rotarians personally covered their food expenses.
On Bhadra 20, 2083, Rotarians travelled to the affected area and directly handed over the relief materials. Under the coordination of Project Coordinator Rtn Abraham Khan, local individuals and stakeholders helped identify and reach the affected families.
The initiative was attended by President Rtn Raj Kumar Gurung, Past President Rtn Prem Prasad Sharma, and Fundraising Coordinator Rtn Dhananjaya Singh (David), with special coordination and support from Rtn Ashok Kumar Basnet, Past President, Rotary Club of Dhading.
The project was Club’s member-driven, need-based and direct-to-beneficiary approach, addressing both household and women's essential needs.
The initiative provided immediate material support while restoring a sense of dignity, solidarity and hope, reflecting Rotary's motto “Service Above Self” and its commitment to “Create Lasting Impact.”
