Project Description
Dhading, September 10, 2026 — As part of the humanitarian response to the devastating Bhote Koshi flood, Rotary District 3292, in collaboration with Rotary Club of Bhadgaon, Rotary Club of Dhulikhel, and Rotary Club of Kathmandu Circle, provided essential clean-water support to flood-affected families in Galchhi Rural Municipality-6, Dhading.
Through this initiative, 110 Aqua Box Water Filters and 110 water-collection buckets were distributed to 110 affected families, helping them access safer and cleaner drinking water during this difficult time.
According to Galchhi Rural Municipality Chairperson Mr. Dipak Kumar Karki, more than 200 households have been affected by the disaster. He expressed that this timely support from Rotary will help address the immediate drinking-water challenges faced by affected families.
The distribution program was attended by Charter President Rtn. Manoj Kandel, Secretary Rtn. Shrijana Maharjan, Joint Secretary Rtn. Sandip Raj Bhat, Club Admin Rtn. Bindu Giri, Public Image Chair Rtn. Matrika Prasad Gautam, and Rtn. Asbin Kumar Raut from Rotary Club of Bhadgaon, along with Rtn. Laxmi Khanal, Past President of Rotary Club of Dhulikhel.
This collaborative effort reflects Rotary's commitment to Service Above Self, bringing clubs together to support communities in crisis and Create Lasting Impact.
With many families still in need, we appeal to Rotarians, organizations, businesses, and well-wishers in Nepal and around the world to continue supporting relief and recovery efforts, particularly in clean water, food, shelter, hygiene, and other essential needs.
