Project Description
As part of the TEACH Programme, the Rotary Club of Patan initiated an awareness programme in schools to educate and engage students on important environmental issues affecting our planet.
The first session, “Global Warming and Climate Change Awareness Programme,” was conducted at Lubhu Secondary School, Lubhu, for the students of Grade 10. More than 60 students actively participated in the programme.
The session focused on helping students understand the causes and impacts of global warming and climate change, including rising temperatures, changing weather patterns, environmental degradation, and their effects on communities and future generations. Students were also encouraged to understand the importance of responsible environmental practices and their own role in protecting the environment.
The programme provided an interactive platform for students to learn, ask questions, and reflect on how small individual actions can contribute to a more sustainable future.
Through the TEACH Programme, Rotary Club of Patan aims to continue creating awareness among young minds on relevant social and environmental issues and to encourage students to become responsible and informed citizens who can contribute positively to their communities.
