Free Health Camp at Madi

Rotary Club of Chitwan in collaboration with Spinal Injury Rehabilitation Center, Chitwan Unit successfully conducted a Free Health Camp on 6 September 2026 at Bagauda Hospital, Madi-3, Basantapur.

The health camp was conducted under the chairmanship of Rtn. Rabindra Piya, Chairperson of the Center, Past President of Rotary Club of Chitwan and Past District Governor. The camp was inaugurated by Tarakaji Mahato, Mayor of Madi Municipality.

The program was graced by the special presence of Rtn. Gehendra Man Shrestha, President of Rotary Club of Chitwan. Khem Prasad Mahato, Deputy Mayor of Madi Municipality, and Rambandhu Pokhrel, President of the Nepal Red Cross Society, Madi, also attended the program.

During the health camp, 131 patients received health check-ups and medical consultations. During the examinations, five patients were identified with long-term and serious spinal-related problems. They were found to require further treatment and were referred to the hospital for necessary medical care.

Speaking at the program, Rtn. Gehendra Man Shrestha, President of Rotary Club of Chitwan, stated that the Club has been continuously conducting health and social service programs by identifying the genuine needs of the community. He expressed the Club’s commitment to giving priority to community-based projects in the coming days based on identified needs.

The health camp was supported by a team of five medical professionals, including Dr. Hemant Gupta, who provided health examinations, necessary consultations, and medicines to the patients.

For the participating patients and service recipients, arrangements for food, refreshments, and transportation were coordinated by Rtn. Rabindra Piya, Rtn. Chandraman Shrestha, Dr. Hemant Gupta, and Center Nursing In-charge Salima Mahato.
