Project Description
Rotary Club of Damak in collaboration with Dhrubatara Sporting Club, organised a one-day charity movie show of Hanuman Ansh as a fundraising initiative to support blind and autistic children studying at Saraswoti Ma. Vi., Damak. The event received overwhelming support from the community, with the movie hall fully packed by Rotarians, their families, and people from different walks of life. A total of NRs. 2,212,000 was collected in one day fund raising event.
The program was graced by the Mayor of Damak, Chairperson of the School Management Committee, Principal of Saraswoti Ma. Vi., Rotarians and other distinguished guests. A total of 220 people attended the charity screening, demonstrating strong community participation and solidarity toward children with special needs. This fund raising program was coordinated by Past President Rtn. Keshav Kumar Agrawal.
The initiative aimed not only to raise financial resources but also to create awareness about inclusive education and encourage collective community responsibility. The overwhelming response from Damak-9 and surrounding communities reflected the spirit of service and social responsibility promoted by Rotary.
