Project Description
To mark Rotary September – Basic Education and Literacy Month, Rotary Club of Damak provided scholarships to seven needy and studious students of Saraswoti Ma. Vi., under its annual “Rotary Maheshwori Scholarship” project.
The scholarship is provided every year in the loving memory of the mother of Rtn. Dr. Lekhnath Neupane, reflecting Rotary’s commitment to supporting education and creating opportunities for students facing financial challenges.
Each selected student received NRs. 5,000 as a scholarship, along with a school bag and stationaries. The school bags were sponsored by Shreya Suppliers, an enterprise of our Club Secretary Rtn. Devendra Baral. Stationery materials were provided by the Interact Club of JMES, adding further support to the beneficiaries.
The program was graced by Ward President Kuber Bhattarai and School Principal Sitaram Dhakal, along with Rotarians, Interactors, students, and their parents. Their participation reflected the collective commitment toward promoting access to education and supporting students in need.
