Project Description

On 28 September 2026, Rotary Club of Patan and Mahalaxmi Municipality, Ward No. 1, jointly organised a free rabies vaccination and sterilisation programme for community dogs.

The National Zoonosis and Food Hygiene Research Centre, Chagal, Kathmandu, coordinated the programme. The programme covered over 50 dogs.

Our special appreciation goes to Rtn. Khadak S. Bisht, Coordinator of our Animal Welfare for Public Health Committee, for his dedicated efforts in bringing this programme together. We also acknowledge committee members Rtn. Mukti N. Shrestha and Rtn. Bijaya Mallapaty.

We sincerely thank the veterinary team, Ward No. 1, the coordinating organisation, volunteers, members and well-wishers for their contribution and support.

Working together, we can promote animal welfare and strengthen community awareness of rabies prevention.
