Project Description
The ninth episode of the “Women in Rotary (Mahila Sanga Rotary)” radio programme, a joint initiative of the Rotary Club of Patan and Radio Sagarmatha FM 102.4, featured Ms Nani Maharjan, a young and inspiring resident of Dhapasi Buddha Mandir, Ward No. 9, Kirtipur Municipality.
Ms Maharjan’s life journey is an inspiring example of how determination, encouragement, and support from people around us can help a young woman overcome challenges and build a successful future.
Coming from a family where her parents were not literate and had limited awareness about the importance of educating their daughter, she went on to achieve academic degrees in three different subjects.
Today, she is actively involved in her own business, holds a leadership role in a cooperative, and is involved in managing two to three other organisations. She also works at Kirtipur Municipality, where she contributes to facilitating services for residents.
The ninth episode focused on her early-life struggles, educational journey, achievements, and the path that led her to where she is today.
The “Women in Rotary” programme is broadcast every Monday from 7:30 AM to 8:00 AM on Radio Sagarmatha FM 102.4. Through these conversations, the programme continues to share inspiring life stories and achievements of women with the wider community.
