Project Description
A cleaning and sanitation program was successfully conducted at Rotary Karunalaya, Devghat, on 29 September 2026 (13 Ashoj 2083), Tuesday, to clean and manage the damage and debris caused by the recent floods in the Karunalaya premises.
Rotary Karunalaya, a flagship project of the Rotary Club of Chitwan, was affected by the recent flooding, resulting in the accumulation of mud, waste, and debris within its buildings and surrounding areas. The cleaning program was organized to restore the premises to a clean, safe, and healthy environment for the senior citizens residing there.
The program was jointly coordinated by the Rotary Club of Chitwan, Rotary Karunalaya, Rotaract Club of Chitwan, and the three security agencies of Chitwan. More than 50 personnel from Nepal Police Chitwan, Armed Police Force Nepal, and the Nepal Army, Chitwan , actively participated in the cleaning and restoration activities.
The joint efforts focused on removing flood debris, cleaning the buildings and surrounding areas, and restoring the premises to a safe and hygienic condition.
