Project Description
In a continued effort to support communities affected by recent floods, a joint humanitarian initiative was carried out in Jhapa Rural Municipality on October 29. A total of 15 water filters were distributed to ensure access to safe and clean drinking water for the affected families. Among them, 6 filters were provided to Model Primary School in Jhapa Rural Municipality–3 and Madrasa Islamia Rasungadh Salmara in Jhapa Rural Municipality–1.
In addition, extra filters were distributed to cancer and heart patients, single women, and pregnant families in various wards of the municipality — addressing the needs of the most vulnerable groups in the community. This meaningful program was jointly organized by the Rotaract Club of Kathmandu Height, Rotary Club of Kathmandu Circle, and Rotaract Club of Birtamode Midtown, whose collaboration and support made the distribution a success. Such initiatives continue to highlight Rotary and Rotaract’s shared commitment to community health, disaster response, and sustainable access to safe drinking water.
