Project Description
On Asoj 5, Rotary Damak awarded the Rotary Late Maheshwara Devi Memorial Scholarship to 10 outstanding students of Saraswati Secondary School, Damak this year as well.
This annual scholarship program is initiated by Rtn. Lekhnath Neupane and his family, and the event was conducted under the chairmanship of the President of Rotary Club of Damak. The program’s chief guest was Vice Principal Bhagirath Mishra, while the program was conducted by Secretary Rtn. Ambika Neupane.
Among the beneficiaries, 3 students from grades 11 and 12 received NPR 5,000 each, and 7 students received NPR 2,000 each, totaling NPR 23,000 in scholarships. Along with the scholarships, bags, notebooks, and pens were distributed with support from Suryadarsan Cooperative. Additionally, Rotarian President-Elect Sagar Shrestha contributed an extra NPR 6,000 for the program.
The event was attended by Rotaract Club of Damak President Diwakar Panchakoti, former Rotarians Sandeep Chapagain, Sagar Shrestha, Prem Devkota, Rudra Thapa, family members of Late Maheshwara Devi (Shiviram Neupane, Ganesh Neupane, Laxmi Neupane ), Suryadarsan Cooperative Manager Rajkumar Khadka and Chief Accountant Shrestha, among others.
The program coordinator and son of Late Maheshwara Devi, Rtn. Lekhnath Neupane, expressed his heartfelt gratitude to all attendees for their support and presence.
