Project Description

To mark the 7th International Menstrual Dignity Day on 8 December 2025, the Rotary Club of Gyaneswor organized a Reusable Pad Making Training Program at the Underprivileged Children’s Educational Program (UCEP), Sanothimi, Bhaktapur. The program was jointly conducted in collaboration with the Rotary Club of Bhaktapur, Rotary Club of Kathmandu Kalanki, Rotary Club of New Road City Kathmandu, Rotary Club of Pashupati Kathmandu, Rotaract Club of Bhaktapur, and Rotaract Club of KMC Duwakot.

The training was facilitated by Ms. Prabina Sujhakhu, and a total of 80 active participants benefited from the program. The main objective was to reduce menstrual waste by promoting environment-friendly, sustainable, affordable, and comfortable reusable sanitary pads, while also enhancing menstrual health awareness and dignity.

The event was honored by the presence of District Governor-Elect (DGE) Rtn. Vishnu Bahadur Karki, First Lady Niru Karki, Assistant Governor Rtn. Binita Hada, along with other dignitaries and guests.
