Project Description
The Rotary Club of Kathmandu, in collaboration with the Rotary Club of Sainamaina and with support from the Basic Education & Literacy Committee, RID 3292, successfully conducted the 53rd batch of ICT Training for Public School Teachers in Sainamaina Municipality, Rupandehi, on 19–20 December 2025.
The two-day training program was organized for public school teachers of Sainamaina Municipality and saw the active participation of 21 teachers representing seven schools. The initiative aimed to enhance teachers’ digital skills and promote the effective use of information and communication technology in classroom teaching.
The closing ceremony was held in a dignified manner under the chairmanship of Rtn. Bhojraj Poudel, President of the Rotary Club of Sainamaina. Mayor Mr. Fadindra Prasad Sharma attended the program as the Chief Guest, while Rtn. Prem Kumar Sharma, Coordinator of Basic Education & Literacy, RID 3292, Region 5, was present as a distinguished guest.
With the completion of the 53rd batch, the ICT Training program has now benefited a total of 1,045 teachers from 615 schools, marking a significant contribution toward improving the quality of public education.
The organizers expressed their sincere appreciation to the trainers, Mr. Shishir Chhetri and Mr. Balkrishna Gyawali, for their professional expertise and dedication. Gratitude was also extended to the supporting Rotary Clubs, the Basic Education & Literacy RID 3292 team, and the TEACH Committee of the Rotary Club of Kathmandu for their continued cooperation and support in ensuring the program’s success. The budget of the project is NRs. 144,700.
