Project Description
Rotary Club of Kathmandu in collaboration with Rotary Club of Patan, Rotary Club of Bagmati, Rotary Club of Balaju and Rotary Club of Yala planted 600 plants on 26 July, 2025 by using The Miyawaki technique at Sano Hattiban, Lalitpur. The Club jointly contributed NRs. 150,000 for the project.
This technique involves planting a diverse mix of native tree species closely together in a small area to accelerate forest growth and increase biodiversity. The method aims to mimic natural forest succession, with trees growing quickly due to competition for resources.
Similarly, more than 150 Rotary clubs from across Nepal took part in Rotary Plantation Day 2025, successfully planting over 50,000 saplings in a single day as part of a district-wide goal.
