Project Description
The Rotary Club of Kathmandu conducted “Project Jhola” at Shree Gyankunja Secondary School, Dudhauli-4, Sindhuli. The event was held in the presence of the Chairperson of Dudhauli Municipality-4, Rit Bahadur Bishwokarma, along with Club President Rajendra Gautam, Past President Mukunda Sharma Poudel, President-Elect Pushpa Raj Sharma, and Member Rakesh Gurung. A total of 75 students received school bags, and the school was also provided with sports materials to enhance extracurricular activities. The support is expected to encourage students to attend school more regularly by reducing the financial burden on families.
Rotary representatives emphasized that programs like Project Jhola play a vital role in advancing Rotary’s focus on basic education and literacy. By supplying essential learning materials and promoting a supportive school environment, Rotary helps remove obstacles that prevent children from accessing education. Such initiatives not only boost students’ confidence and motivation but also contribute to improving academic participation and strengthening community development. The project is worth of NRs. 70,000.
