Project Description
Among the festivals of Nepal that are rich in cultural and religious aspects, Shrawan 15 is a day of special significance. This day is also known as Kheer-eating Day. It is believed that the tradition of cooking and eating Kheer on Shrawan 15 has been going on since the Vedic period. This day is considered a day to offer sacred food to the gods and goddesses in gratitude.
Rotary Club of Hetauda and Rotaract Club of Hetauda jointly celebrated the special Special Khir-eating Program of Shrawan 15 with the children of Mamaghar Ashram located in Dangdunge, Hetauda -11 in a joyful atmosphere. Rotary Club President Pramesh Pradhan, Founder Member and Advisory Committee President Siddhi Lal Shrestha, office bearers, members, and Anis (Bhauju) participated in the Khir-eating Program on Shrawan 15.
Rotaract President Keshar Shrestha, office bearers, and Rotaractors participated.
On the special Khir-eating Program day of Shrawan 15, a new nephew (Bhanja) also entered the Mamaghar Ashram, so that time was memorable for us. All the nephews (Bhanja), we Rotarians, Rotaractors, and Anis (Bhauju) welcomed the new Bhanja and had a memorable moment of sitting down and eating Khir together.
Finally, with thanks to everyone The successful Khir festival of 15th of Shrawan has provided an opportunity to strengthen social ties. Khir of 15th of Shrawan is not just a dish, it is a symbol of Nepal's cultural lifestyle, faith and family harmony. It helps maintain our identity, traditions and mutual relations.
