Project Description
A successful Health Camp was conducted by the Rotary Club of Baneshwor in association with Kathmandu Medical College, Sinamangal at Shivalaya Primary School, Shivapuri Rural Municipality, Nuwakot, on 25th January 2026. The camp witnessed an overwhelming response from the local community, with more than 350 participants benefiting from the services provided.
The camp was organized as a multispecialty health service, offering consultations and care in General Medicine, General Surgery, Pediatrics, Orthopedics, Obstetrics & Gynecology, Dental, Eye, ENT, along with ECG, USG, and laboratory tests. Residents from Wards 1, 2, and 3 of Shivapuri Rural Municipality availed themselves of these essential medical services, many of whom have limited access to healthcare facilities.
With the generous support of pharmaceutical companies, medicines worth NPR 114,000 were distributed free of cost to the needy during the camp. The gratitude expressed by the community highlighted the pressing need for accessible healthcare services in this region, where medical facilities remain scarce and difficult to reach.
The Rotary Club of Baneshwor extends heartfelt thanks to Kathmandu Medical College, the local government authorities, Shivalaya Primary School, supporting pharmaceutical companies, Rotarians, and dedicated volunteers whose collective efforts made this camp impactful and meaningful. This initiative reaffirmed the club’s commitment to serving underserved communities and addressing critical healthcare gaps.
