Project Description
The Rotary Club of Yala continued one of its regular service activities in preserving art and culture by organizing a three-day Hiti Art Exhibition, in collaboration with E-Arts and Chiva Chaitya, in the historic courtyard of Patan Museum, Patan Durbar Square from 9 to 11 January 2026, with the aim of “Celebrating the Heritage of the Hiti System in the Kathmandu Valley.
The exhibition was inaugurated by the Chief Guest, senior artist Mr. Kiran Manandhar. The Special Guest of the program was Hiti Pranali (system) expert Mr. Padam Sundar Joshi.
The exhibition featured artworks on Hiti (stone spouts) created by 20 emerging and young artists , who reinterpreted the traditional stone spout system not merely as a historical structure but as a living cultural memory. Through their paintings, the artists explored the artistic beauty, cultural meaning, and historical background of Hitīs in depth.
