Project Description

A three-month tailoring training has been formally inaugurated with the aim of developing women’s skills, increasing self-reliance and promoting self-employment. At the initiative of the Rotary Club of Hetauda and with the support of the Rotary Club of Edmonds, USA, tailoring training is being provided to groups of 8 people in 3 phases within 18 months. At the end of the training, which is being conducted with the aim of creating entrepreneurship, learner will be provided with a sewing machine, interlock machine, sewing case and other equipment.
The first phase of this residential training, organized locally by the Women Protection Center, has 8 students who will learn to sew.

According to trainer Swasthi Rajthala, the training, which will be conducted for three months, will provide practical skills including fabric measurement, design preparation, sewing machine operation, and sewing various types of clothes.

Rotary Club President Pramesh Pradhan said that this skill-based training will make a significant contribution to the economic empowerment of women and urged the participants to put the knowledge they have learned into practice.
