Dear Fellow Rotarians,

Once again, I am truly amazed by the incredible work accomplished by Rotarians districtwide this month. Your continuous dedication and news submissions are commendable this month. It enables us to extend our outreach globally.

February has proven to be an exceptionally eventful month, with various district activities such as the Rota Quiz, Assistant Governors (AG), President and Secretary Review meetings, Sun Never Sets in Rotary initiatives, National Cadet Corps (NCC) involvement, Pokhara International Marathon, and Rotary Week Celebrations, all fostering greater connectivity and participation among us.

I’m deeply moved by the updates on projects shared by clubs, ranging from blood donations, charity shows for fundraising, Yomari-making and ICT training sessions, snakebite prevention efforts, distribution of artificial hands and limbs, gender-neutral toilet initiatives, to the distribution of warm clothing. These service projects truly exemplify Rotary’s relevance within our communities, demonstrating empathy and support for those in need.

I’ve been closely following the preparations of DGE Rajendra Man Sherchan, as he successfully completed the Assistant Governors’ Learning Seminar (AGLS) and the District Team Learning Seminar (DTLS) in Pokhara. I have full confidence in his ability to lead and execute his plans effectively during his tenure.

As many of you are aware, we are swiftly approaching the 16th District Conference at the Butwal International Convention Center. This promises to be a historic event, meticulously planned by our DG Dhoju, with a myriad of activities scheduled from the 15th to the 17th of March, 2024. The District Conference team is fully prepared to extend a warm and inclusive welcome to all participants and guests. Let us come together, enjoy this event, and make it truly unforgettable.

Furthermore, I’m delighted to announce that the system for club news reporting in our Rotary District 3292 for GML, which underwent rigorous editing, designing, and layout processes by professional graphic designers to meet international standards, will be continued under the leadership of our upcoming editor, Rtn. Gautam Shrestha. His invaluable assistance has been instrumental in ensuring the smooth operation of our endeavors thus far, and I’m confident that he will continue to excel in the upcoming Rotary year.

May the joy of Rotary continue to resonate across the globe.

Yours in Rotary,

Rtn. Raj Shrestha
