Dear Fellow Rotarians,
With great pride and enthusiasm, we present the latest edition of our Governor’s Monthly Letter. This issue is filled with updates
from our vibrant Rotary clubs, highlights of district activities, and exciting details about the upcoming District Conference, which promises to be a landmark event in our Rotary calendar.
This year, we celebrate a monumental milestone—120 years of Rotary International. Since its founding in 1905, Rotary has grown into a global network of 1.2 million members dedicated to creating lasting change. From eradicating polio to promoting peace and supporting education, Rotary’s impact over the past 120 years has been extraordinary. This issue also covers the 120-year celebration activities.
Our Rotary clubs continue to live up to the motto, "Service Above Self," through their unwavering commitment to community development. From health camps, heritage walks, food and clothes distribution, and literacy drives to environmental sustainability initiatives, our clubs are making a tangible difference in people’s lives. From last eight months, 85% of our clubs reported their activities, reflecting the vitality of RID3292. The GML & Publication Team extends sincere gratitude to all Rotary Clubs for their support in producing this 40-page GML.
February has been bustling with district- level activities. Collaborative projects, panel discussions, and inter-club meetings have strengthened our bonds and enhanced
our collective impact. These activities foster camaraderie and provide valuable opportunities for learning and growth. Let’s continue working together to amplify our efforts and achieve our shared goals.
Mark your calendars! The 17th District Conference will be held from March 21-23 at The Plaza, Lalitpur. This event will bring together Rotarians from across the district to celebrate our achievements, exchange ideas, and plan for the future. With inspiring speakers, engaging workshops, and networking opportunities, the conference promises to be both informative and enjoyable. So far, 600+ Rotarians have already registered, and we look forward to seeing you there as we unite in the spirit of Rotary.
As we move forward, let’s continue to uphold Rotary’s values and strive to make a positive impact in our communities. Together, we can achieve greatness and leave a lasting legacy of service.
Yours in Rotary Service,
Rtn Gautam Shrestha Chair, 2024-25
