Dear Fellow Rotarians,

As the monsoon recedes and autumn's crisp air fills Kathmandu, the city comes alive with the vibrant energy of Indra Jatra, signaling the start of Nepal's festive season. With a rich cultural heritage spanning 125 ethnic groups and more than 123 languages, our celebrations are as diverse as they are unique.

Rotary embodies this unity in diversity. Though we come from varied backgrounds, we share a common goal: serving our communities. September, recognized as Basic Education and Literacy Month, saw our district and clubs deeply engaged in initiatives aimed at shaping a brighter future for the next generation.

This issue spotlights significant district events, including the Basic Education and Literacy (BE&L) committee’s strategic planning session to enhance children's education. We also feature the Region V Vibrant Club Workshop, the Multi-District Rotary Foundation Symposium & Recognition Program, and cultural celebrations like Teej and Heritage Art led by the Women Leadership Committee. Other highlights include an essay competition by the Girl Child Empowerment Committee, the National Peace Dialogue on International Peace Day, and an exclusive interview with Dr. Suniti Acharya, Nepal's first female Rotarian. Additionally, the Rotary Club of Kupondol's impactful Global Grant initiative is covered in detail.

From July to September, 63% of our clubs reported their projects and activities, reflecting the vitality of RID3292. We aim to share stories from all 161 clubs, ensuring every voice is heard. The GML & Publication Team extends sincere gratitude to all Rotary Clubs for their support in producing this 40-page GML. As we embrace the season of festivals, may it bring joy, health, and happiness.

Let us channel this festive spirit to ignite positive change, creating hope and making our communities stronger.

Wishing everyone a joyful and meaningful festival season!

Yours in Rotary Service,
