Dear Fellow Rotarians,

The spirit of festivity continues to bring joy and happiness into our lives. Dashain has blessed us with sunny days and cherished reunions with loved ones. May these joyful moments keep uplifting us all.

Our country, however, is facing challenging times. At the end of September 2024, severe floods struck due to record-breaking monsoon rains, causing over 258 deaths and widespread destruction. True to our identity as "People of Action," Rotary District 3292 Nepal, Bhutan, responded by organizing numerous relief initiatives to support

the affected communities. Rotary clubs distributed essential relief supplies, including food, clean drinking water, blankets, clothing, and other necessities to displaced families in flood-hit areas.

On World Polio Day (October 24), RID3292 launched a significant campaign across all seven provinces, including the Valley. In Lalitpur, a grand bicycle rally was held and inaugurated by Honorable Minister of Health and Population, Pradeep Paudel. Awareness programs, rallies, and walkathons took place in various cities. In the evening, messages illuminating iconic towers and buildings, including Dharahara, helped raise awareness. Rotary clubs actively supported the "End Polio Now" campaign, leading multiple awareness initiatives. The dedication of District Public Image Committee Chair, Rtn Amit Giri, and his team created a powerful impact. Hats off to the Public Image Committee for their commendable work.

Now, we welcome the month of "The Rotary Foundation," a time when Rotarians come together to bring about change in our communities through giving. The Rotary Foundation empowers Rotary members

to play a vital role in advancing world understanding, goodwill, and peace by improving health, providing quality education, enhancing the environment, and alleviating poverty. Let us all extend our support to this mission.

Lastly, I wish you all prosperity, togetherness, and good health for the upcoming "Festival of Lights – Tihar," Nepal Sambat 1145, and Chhath Parwa.

Yours in Rotary Service,
